FLIBS COVID-19 Current Workshop Status

4/30/20

Dear FLIBS Workshop Participant,

We would first like to thank you for choosing FLIBS to be your IB PD provider for your May and June PD workshops. We realize that due to current events everyone is in the process of reviewing their plans for the next several months. So, we appreciate your patience and support during these uncertain times. Given more precise and understandable direction from federal and state government regarding actions necessary for the next 6-8 weeks, we have re-scheduled our May and June 2020 workshops.

You will have received by now via email the opportunity to change your registration to one of our upcoming workshops or request a credit or a refund.

The new FLIBS IB Professional Development Schedule for 2020 - February 2021 is listed below.

Please note that the November 2020 event and February 2021 event will offer a mix of workshops for multiple programmes—DP/MYP/PYP. So, please look carefully at all options available. We sincerely hope that you will register for one of our new workshops; and after registering, re-book your reservation with the TradeWinds.

FLIBS Refund Policy:

  1. Any registrant may transfer to one of the new dates for no charge.
  2. Any registrant may receive a credit for a future workshop (good for 24 months) at no charge.
  3. Any registrant may cancel the registration and request a refund, incurring a US$50 service fee. (This fee pertains even if your school has not yet paid).

You may be a bit miffed at the $50 cancellation fee, but please try to understand that FLIBS is a close-to-the-bone, non-profit service organization, and we are desperately trying to stay afloat so that we may serve the IB world in the future. Please keep in mind that this is an evolving issue for all of us, and we are working hard to ensure that IB educators from all programmes have access to IB Professional Development.

Thanks so much for choosing FLIBS. We regret these developments and are striving to serve you in a responsible manner. We very much appreciate your patience.

Sincerely,

Ralph Cline, PhD
