Spring 2021 PYP/MYP IB Professional Development Virtual WorkshopWe are very excited and proud to have been selected by the IB to offer virtual professional development workshops to educators seeking IB authorized teacher training. These workshops will feature the same high-quality leaders that lead our face to face events and have established FLIBS’ reputation of excellence in the world of IB PD for more than 30 years. As a result, you can be sure that your virtual experience will be a positive and engaging one. Each workshop will include synchronous and asynchronous work that will provide you the opportunity to collaborate and network with other IB professionals in your subject area. To ensure an engaging and positive virtual workshop experience, please make sure you have the following:

-Headset with microphone, or a computer with a built-in microphone
-Camera (so you can be visible online)
Our virtual workshops will utilize Zoom as our primary learning platform which will provide a wide array of tools for collaborative learning. Workshop facilitators/leaders will also have the opportunity to access other educational tools to incorporate in your individual sessions.
Special Note: During the introductory session on May 14th, you will have the opportunity to meet your workshop facilitator and familiarize yourself with the learning platform and course layout.
Kent State University offers IB teachers graduate education credit for IB workshops they complete at IB PYP, MYP and DP professional development conferences. The cost for 1 graduate credit is $220. 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Eastern Time (ET)-- Introduction with instructor to familiarize participants with technology and expectations.
May 15, 2021:
4.0 hours synchronous learning to be held between 8:30 AM-2:30 PM Eastern Time (ET) with an additional 2 hours of asynchronous learning required (total 6 hours)
May 16, 2021:
4.0 hours synchronous learning to be held between 11:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) with an additional 2 hours of asynchronous learning required (total 6 hours)
May 17, 2021:
1.5 hours of synchronous learning to be held from 6:30-8:00 PM ET (no asynchronous required)
May 18, 2021:
1.5 hours of synchronous learning to be held from 6:30-8:00 PM ET (no asynchronous required)
FLIBS virtual workshops, in cooperation with the IBO, cost $775.00 (USD) with a portion of the fee paid to the International Baccalaureate Organization for professional development support that allows us to make these workshops possible.
Payments can be made via all major credit cards on our website.

Once payment has been received and the workshop has been completed, you will be given access to your certificate of successful completion of your subject area workshop.
All workshop registrations must be made online. Below you will find comprehensive information to assist you in completing the registration process.
VERY IMPORTANT — Please document your 5-digit registration number before you exit the system. This number is required to re-enter the registration system, and to read, print or pay your invoice online via credit card. Receipts for online payments are auto-generated and sent to the email address provided.

NOTE: Canceling your registration will result in a $50 service fee, regardless of whether or not we have received payment.
If you cancel within 15 business days of the workshop, you will only receive a 50% refund of the current registration fee or equivalent credit for future FLIBS workshop. If you have not yet paid, FLIBS will bill you for 50% of the current registration fee.
