Fall B 2020 DP/CP IB Professional Development Virtual WorkshopWe are very excited and proud to have been selected by the IB to offer virtual professional development workshops to educators seeking IB authorized teacher training. These workshops will feature the same high-quality leaders that lead our face to face events and have established FLIBS’ reputation of excellence in the world of IB PD for more than 30 years. As a result, you can be sure that your virtual experience will be a positive and engaging one. Each workshop will include synchronous and asynchronous work that will provide you the opportunity to collaborate and network with other IB professionals in your subject area. Registration is closed for this IB Virtual Workshop. Dates: 10/23/2020 - 10/27/2020 Registration Fee: $775.00 (USD) These interactive virtual workshops will be facilitated by our expert workshop leaders in synchronous and asynchronous sessions over five consecutive days for a total of 15 hours required to earn a completion certificate.

To ensure an engaging and positive virtual workshop experience, please make sure you have the following:
-Reliable internet access
-Headset with microphone, or a computer with a built-in microphone
-Camera (so you can be visible online)
Our virtual workshops will utilize Zoom as our primary learning platform which will provide a wide array of tools for collaborative learning. Workshop facilitators/leaders will also have the opportunity to access other educational tools to incorporate in your individual sessions.
Special Note: During the introductory session on October 23rd, you will have the opportunity to meet your workshop facilitator and familiarize yourself with the learning platform and course layout.
IBO has allowed Kent State University to offer IB teachers graduate education credit for IB workshops they complete at IB PYP, MYP and DP professional development conferences. Introduction with instructor to familiarize participants with technology and expectations. 6:00 PM-7:00 PM Eastern Time (ET)
October 24, 2020:
4.0 hours synchronous learning to be held between 8:30 AM-2:30 PM Eastern Time (ET) with an additional 2 hours of asynchronous learning required (total 6 hours)
October 25, 2020:
4.0 hours synchronous learning to be held between 11:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) with an additional 2 hours of asynchronous learning required (total 6 hours)
October 26, 2020:
1.5 hours of synchronous learning to be held from 6:30-8:00 PM ET (no asynchronous required)
October 27, 2020:
1.5 hours of synchronous learning to be held from 6:30-8:00 PM ET (no asynchronous required)
FLIBS virtual workshops, in cooperation with the IBO, cost $775.00 (USD) with a portion of the fee paid to the International Baccalaureate Organization for professional development support that allows us to make these workshops possible.
