Balancing IB and AVID for Learner Success
IB provides a framework for our students to explore, inquire, and become self-regulated independent learners who strive to make a difference. This framework is rigorous, provides opportunities for self-discovery and challenges students to be resilient and overcome obstacles.
AVID is a system that defines and explains rigor and lets educators unpack the skills necessary for students to meet the challenges of IB through purposeful strategies and methods that remove barriers. AVID can help reduce the opportunity gap to allow all students to access an IB education.
In our shared time we will explore AVID strategies that support an inclusive IB experience for students and teachers, including a deep dive into the relationship between AVID WICOR strategies and IB ATL skills. Our goal will be to find the connections to blend the programs into one system that aligns the requirements of the IB with AVID indicators so students and teachers can find balance and success.

Cost
$160 per person.
Payments are accepted through the on-line payment system in the form of all major credit cards.

Effective January 1, 2023, FLIBS will charge a 4% processing fee for all credit card payments.
